ST Style Fiber Optic Patch Cords Typical ST Patch Cord Configurations
ST – ST Singlemode – Simplex Assembly ST – ST Multimode – Duplex Assembly All ST
Fiber Optic Patch Cord (Jumper) assemblies supplied by Elite Electronics meet or
exceed the performance requirements of the most current versions of
IPC-8497-1 (Cleaning Methods &
Contamination Assessment for Optical Assembly),
ANSI/TIA/EIA‑568B.3 (Optical
Fiber Cabling Components Standard) and
Telcordia GR-326 CORE
(Generic Requirements for Singlemode Optical Connectors & Jumper
Assemblies). Elite Electronics has supporting performance data for
its ST Fiber Optic Patch Cord Family based on accepted industry testing
procedures specified by the most current version of ANSI/TIA/EIA-455B
(Standard Test Procedure for Standard Fiber Optic Fibers, Cables,
Transducers, Sensors, Connecting & Terminating Devices, and Other
Components). Elite each ST Patch Cord is assigned a serial number
and then is 100% mechanically, cosmetically and optically performance
tested. The patch cord
assembly is then packaged with its corresponding test data as a standard
part of Elite's shipping package.

Notes: |
|
|
1. |
Unless otherwise specified, Elite uses 3.00 mm optical
fiber not-rated (OFN) cable
for its standard patch cord (jumper) configurations.
|
|
2. |
If plenum grade (OFNP)
or riser grade (OFNR) is
required, at the time of order you must specify your required
configuration from accepted industry standards (e.g., 900 µm, 1.60 mm,
2.40 mm or 3.00 mm) and your required flame retardancy rating.
|
|
3. |
Mixed (hybrid) terminating connector configurations
may be specified at time of order.
|
|
4. |
Special configurations are subject to prevailing lead
times and minimum order requirements.

Elite Electronics requires its fabricating sources to provide a written ISO Certificate of Compliance (C of C) inclusive of the product's ISO Manufacturing Date Code, RoHS - 2002/95/EC (Directive on the Restriction of the use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical & Electronic Equipment) and WEEE - 2002/96/EC (Directive on Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment) compliance with each production shipment.
